About Damian Ramos
Damian Ramos is a personal injury attorney admitted to practice law in both Florida and New York—two of the nation’s most demanding and competitive legal jurisdictions. A native New Yorker who now calls South Florida home, Damian brings a distinguished background in both law and public service to the practice.
Before becoming an attorney, Damian dedicated his career to law enforcement, serving as a sworn member of the police department in New York and ultimately retiring as a high-ranking police executive. While commanding one of the department’s busiest detective squads, he earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra Law School. He subsequently passed the bar examinations in both New York and Florida.
As his law enforcement career progressed, Damian was promoted to Commanding Officer of the department’s Legal Bureau within the Office of the Police Commissioner. In that role, he led a team of attorneys and legal professionals while serving as counsel on a wide range of police-related legal matters. During that time, he also concurrently worked as a personal injury and real estate attorney at a private New York law firm.
Following his retirement from law enforcement in 2024, Damian established a Florida Division of the New York law firm in South Florida.
Today, Damian is a proud member of the Shiner Law Group team, where he is dedicated to helping injury victims throughout Florida pursue the justice and compensation they deserve.
Outside of the office, Damian enjoys spending time with his three children, traveling, and occasionally returning to New York to perform with the cover band in which he sang for 14 years.
