Blog FAQs

Is this blog legal advice?
No. Articles on this blog are general information about Florida injury law, not legal advice for your situation, and reading them does not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your case, call (561) 777-7700 for a free consultation.
Why do some older articles mention a four-year deadline?
Florida shortened the statute of limitations for most negligence claims from four years to two years for injuries on or after March 24, 2023 (HB 837). Some articles written before that change describe the prior rule. Our newer articles and practice pages reflect current law, and the date on each article shows when it was published.
How do I talk to a lawyer about my situation?
Call (561) 777-7700 or submit the free case review form on this page. Consultations are free and available 24/7, and Shiner Law Group handles injury cases on a contingency fee, so there is no fee unless we win.

Have Questions About Your Case?

Articles explain the law. An attorney can tell you what it means for you. Shiner Law Group has recovered more than $500 million for injured Floridians.
