Safe Kids Worldwide has given few precaution tips for children to follow that can be used to keep themselves safe during Halloween:
Furthermore Safe Kids has teamed up with FedEx to promote pedestrian safety across the United States. They are also providing materials and safe walking information to parents and children. Kate Carr, president and CEO of Safe Kids Worldwide, said that, “On Halloween, more children are on the street after dark than normal, and they are so excited that they may run out into the street without looking… We’re asking drivers to take extra care and slow down on neighborhood roads. And, of course, it’s very important that drivers put down mobile devices to avoid distraction.”
One very useful trick is to use light or glow sticks. Not only does it help drivers to notice but also helps to increase visual ability at night. In addition parents should always discuss safety tips with their children before letting them out on the street to trick-or-treat. In addition drivers should also use caution while driving to avoid any accidents.
